Welcome to TOA
The Oxfordshire Association (TOA) was founded in 2009 as a county branch of the Association of British Counties (ABC) , which ‘exists to maintain, enhance and promote the identities of the Counties of the United Kingdom and their role in the cultural life, geography and history of the nation’.
Our branch will be undertaking a number of projects in Oxfordshire to build up county identity and recognition, and to improve life in this great and ancient county.
This will include, among other plans:
- a number of competitions and appeals in local media;
- a programme to establish a dignified and legal county flag; and
- a campaign to have boundary signs put in all the right places.
